Installation charge is $199 for a one year contract. Free router will be supplied, if required, and remains the property of Unifone until the customer has completed a 12-month term at a single property. The installation charge remains the same, irrespective of the customer’s router requirements. Courier charges will apply, if required.
If you are moving into a property that already has a working Unifone WiFi connection no connection charge will apply. You may have to purchase a WiFi router for $99 if one has not been left at the property. Charges may apply to reinstate damaged Unifone equipment before service can be given.
If the contract is terminated early, the customer can return the router supplied for the contract period to receive a 50% credit on the termination fee. The router must be in good working condition and returned with required accessories e.g., power supply. The customer is responsible for returning the router at their expense.

Unifone's Hyperfibre service is available on the Chorus UFB network across Otago. Hyperfibre services require a router with WAN interfaces that operate above Gigabit. Unifone can supply a Hyperfibre ready router free of charge until 30 June 2024. The connection of Hypefibre to your premises may require a change of your Chorus equipment. Call us for more details.
GB refers to total amount of gigabytes of data you can use in a month. Larger data caps available on request. All prices include GST and are listed in New Zealand dollars (NZD). Excess data use (overage) is charged at $1.50 per 1GB. These connections are speed limited by the wholesaler to a maximum of 30Mbps down. Actual download speeds depend on wholesaler network loading and activity on your connection.
Off-peak data boosters are available on all 3G/4G plans for data used between Midnight and 5pm, 100GB booster is $15, Unlimited booster is $29.
$299 router and antenna installation available on a 12 month contract. If you have an existing installation, or just require a 3G/4G router, we can connect you for $199. Installation charges are due within seven days of set up.
Phone must be bundled with a 3G/4G broadband data plan and cannot be sold separately. Handset not included.
DSL is subject to availability from service wholesaler. Connection speed is dependent on distance and line conditions between your location and wholesaler’s network.
DSL services are sold with a 12 month contract. Free router and free standard installation where suitable network infrastructure exists in supplier network and your premises and on a 12 month plan or greater. Conditions apply.

Unifone's Home Phone service is provided using Voice over IP (VOIP). VOIP is the usual way of using a broadband connection to deliver a phone service.
All broadband and landline telephone services, including the services sold by Unifone, share the need for continuous power to operate. Unifone Home Phone services are sold as an opt-in bundled service available with most current Unifone broadband connections. Due to technical limitations we do not sell it as a stand-alone service and if you disconnect the Unifone broadband service at the premises where the Home Phone service is running you will also need to transfer the phone service to another provider or cancel it completely.
